About...
Always fascinated by the mystical, I am a huge fan of Stevie Nicks, and the Medieval/Renaissance period. I have always been very drawn to the Arthurian Legend, and writing Essays in English class on this subject was what got me through High School!
The name Gypsy of Avalon was, hence, derived from the combination of these things.
I have always resonated with the word "gypsy" and have always loved the garb. Many years after I coined the term "Gypsy of Avalon" for my website, I recalled that the house I was born and raised in actually started out life as a Gypsy Wagon years before it became our home! The wagon was our parlor, and the rest of the house had been built around it. My father did a signficant amount of renovating before we moved in. Not sure how I could've forgotten about that. I guess it just didn't mean much to me at the time!
I would attend Renaissance Faires all year-long, if I could! I feel a very strong connection to this time period, as well as to Ireland and the Celtic tradition. It truly speaks to my soul at a very deep level - especially the music. My Maternal Grandmother played the fiddle/violin, so maybe that is why that instrument speaks to me. Who knows, maybe I'll try my hand at playing one of these days!
This is part of my heritage, with ancestors on my mother's side from County Cork, Ireland, and Glasgow, Scotland, and from Irleland and England on my father's side. It is my hope to one day visit my "homeland," and tour the magical castles. I also dream of visiting Glastonbury (the Isle of Avalon), the final resting place of Guinevere and Arthur.
And, yes I DO believe that they lived! :)
Dare to Believe...

I have seen many renderings of this red headed
woman, mostly in Medieval settings & attire
(Such as the pic below, which I adore!!)
I connect very strongly with her, so was thrilled
to make her a part of my new website design!

Deep Peace...
Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you
Deep peace of the shining stars to you
Deep peace of the gentle night to you
Moon and stars pour healing light on you
Deep peace to you
